Blueberry Lavendar Thumbprint Cookies Recipe🫐

There’s something magical about mixing butter, sugar, and a spoonful of Sticky Spoons Jam. These Blueberry Lavender Thumbprint Cookies are one of my favorite ways to use our preserves. A simple, sticky-sweet treat that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.


Blueberry Lavendar Thumbprint Cookies
Makes about 24 cookies | 165 calories per cookie | Ready in under 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ā…“ cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1 large egg yolk

  • ¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

  • Extra sugar for rolling (optional)

  • ā…“ cup Sticky Spoons Blueberry Lavender Jam




Serving Idea

These cookies pair beautifully with tea or coffee. The buttery base and floral blueberry jam create the perfect balance of sweet and fragrant.



Instructions


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg yolk and vanilla, and mix until smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until a soft dough forms.

  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls (and roll in sugar if desired).

  6. Press a thumbprint into the center of each ball, then fill each with about ½ teaspoon of Sticky Spoons Blueberry Lavender Jam.

  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are just turning golden.

  8. Allow to cool completely (the jam will set as the cookies cool).

  9. Enjoy :)
